This time around we decided to visit the Pacific NorthWest states of Oregon and Washington over the Labor day weekend and our second Anniversary. We planned for a 10 day trip, but I was working remotely for 4 days during the time. Nevertheless we made a 4 day round trip to Seattle, Olympic National Park and a drive along the coast on Hwy 101.

This was a very short notice trip and we planned the whole thing in 2 days, instead of our month long planning. We decided to fly to Portland and stay at my friend’s place, then go on a Portland-to-Portland roadtrip and then spend the rest of the week working and exploring Portland and surroundings. I’ll just layout the itinerary here.

Day 1: Fly to Portland, reach there around lunch time and drive along the Columbia River in the evening, visiting the beautiful vistas along the Columbia Gorge and Multnomah Falls.
Day 2: Drive to Seattle, stop by Space Needle and visit some friends and drive out to Port Angeles.
Day 3: Olympic National Park – Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc falls and valley.
Day 4: Olympic National Park – Wild Beaches (Rialto Beach and several others), Hoh RainForest, Kalakoch.
Day 5: Olympic National Park – Lake Quinault and Quinault valley rainforest. Drive along Hwy 101 back to Portland.
Day 6 – 9: Work 🙁
Day 10: Explore Portland and fly back.
